As I write this, the sun is in the sky and the lifting of COVID restrictions is getting tantalisingly close - just in time for what should be a wonderful summer of events.
We’re particularly looking forward to The London Classic Car Show, which for 2021 will be taking place in the beautiful grounds of Syon Park from the 25th – 27th June. This Covid-Compliant event will be celebrating ‘The Evolution of Design’ and will take visitors on a magical journey through 135 years of automotive innovation. As part of that, Strada is putting on a display of 80s and 90s brutalism, featuring the likes of the Lancia Delta HF Integrale Evo 2, Alfa Romeo SZ, Bentley Continental T and more.
The show also offers visitors the chance to meet top dealers, classic car exhibitors and car clubs, as well as stunning displays, features and a talks theatre. The event promises to be one of the finest and safest classic car events to take place in 2021 – and you’ll get to meet us in person, at a COVID-compatible distance, of course. It’s a design style that’s been parodied, disregarded and critically panned, yet despite all this negativity from traditionalists, the cars from this design epoch are some of the most revered and greatest-loved – there’s the aforementioned Lancia Delta Integrale, Alfa Romeo SZ and Bentley Continental T, but there are also examples such as the BMW M3 E30, Aston Martin Vantage V600 Le Mans, Porsche 964 Turbo and many more that brought a forceful, wide-arched aggression to performance motoring.
These cars demand respect, and our display will show the very best. We’re still finalising the cars that will be on display – if you want to take part, email us via firstname.lastname@example.org.
